Compensation Range:

Anticipated compensation range of $52.67 – $67.16 / Hour depending on qualifications and experience.

Expectations:

Responsible for the screening, planning, coordination, and pre-procedure education of patients undergoing a planned surgical/procedural event. The RN serves as the facilitator of communications within the multi-disciplinary team providing an evaluation to identify patient specific risks for perioperative complications therefore enhancing the safety and comfort of surgical patients. This role is essential in minimizing surgical delays and cancellations, while maximizing the quality of postoperative recovery. This position may require flexibility of hours.

EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) required.
Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) will be considered if enrolled in a BSN program with degree completion within 2 years of date of hire or date of transfer to an RN position.
Diploma or transcripts on highest degree earned required.

EXPERIENCE/TRAINING:
Minimum three (3) years of clinical nursing experience in perioperative or critical care setting.
Specific experience in admit/testing, outpatient/procedural, or perioperative care settings is preferred.
Proven experience with standardized procedures preferred.

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:
Required:
Current unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by California Board of Registered Nursing (BRN)
Current Basic Life Support Provider (BLS) issued by American Heart Association

SKILLS:
Demonstration of critical thinking, multitasking, prioritization, and decisive judgment. Desire to seek out additional responsibilities and collaborate for the improvement of the department. Flexible, adaptable and willing to take on new challenges. Basic computer skills/experience with computerized documentation systems required.
