Compensation Range:

Anticipated compensation range of $38.39 – $47.94 / Hour depending on qualifications and experience.

Department:

845000 Plant Operations

Expectations:

Operates and maintains stationary gas and oil-fired boilers and auxiliary equipment in supplying steam for other than power generating purposes, adjusts fuel and air, starts pumps, regulates steam flow, checks gauges, maintains and repairs equipment. Operates and maintains chillers and auxiliary equipment.
This position may require flexibility of hours.

EDUCATION:
High school diploma or GED equivalent.

EXPERIENCE/TRAINING:
Five years as a stationary engineer with a valid Los Angeles Unlimited License or 500 hp License with conditions of obtaining a valid Los Angeles Unlimited License within 6 months of hired date.

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:
Required:
EPA Section 608 Universal Certificate issued by US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)
Current California (CA) Driver's License

SKILLS:
Knowledge of materials and tools of the trade.
Is proficient in skilled repair by having knowledge in mechanics, pneumatics, electric, electronics, hydraulics, refrigeration, steam systems and chemistry.
Computer competency in Microsoft Office, building automation systems and preventive maintenance systems preferred.
