Anticipated compensation range of $56.88 – $63.98 / Hour depending on qualifications and experience.

Expectations:
Under limited supervision and as assigned by Area Coordinator, to produce sonographic scans for medical diagnosis. Involves positioning patients and adjusting equipment appropriately to produce diagnostic ultrasound scans. Records pertinent information relating to the production of the ultrasound scans. Assists in the supervision of ultrasound students. Maintains assigned work area in a neat and orderly condition. Use of computer. Provide written, unofficial preliminary reports of examination to the radiologist and any other physician. This position may require flexibility of hours.
EDUCATION:
Graduate of an accredited diagnostic medical sonography program.
EXPERIENCE/TRAINING:
Prefer one (1) year of hospital experience as an Ultrasound Technologist working in the area to be assigned (i.e. Neonatal head. OB/GYN, general abdomen, small part ultrasound and Interventional procedures).
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:
Required:
Current Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) or if RDMS eligible, certification must be obtained within 6 months from date of hire Issued by American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
Current Basic Life Support Provider (BLS) issued by American Heart Association.
SKILLS:
Knowledge of computers, anatomy, physiology, ultrasound equipment, safety hazards common to Ultrasound equipment used, isolation procedures and body fluid precautions
