Compensation Range:

Anticipated compensation range of $158,951.00 – $198,485.00 / Year depending on qualifications and experience.

Expectations:

The Inpatient Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will work as an essential part of a multi-disciplinary treatment team that is composed of Psychiatrists, Therapists, Social workers, Registered Nurses, Creative Arts Therapists, and Clinical care partners. The program provides various mental health services to adults and pediatric/adolescent patients throughout the organization. Services include assessment, diagnosis, treatment, group therapy and psycho-educational groups.

EDUCATION:
BSN, MSN, Completion of an accredited program for Nurse Practitioners in Psychiatric/Mental Health Specialty.
Must have a furnishing license or be qualified to obtain one within 30 days.

EXPERIENCE/TRAINING:
Minimum of five (5) years of experience as an RN in a behavioral health setting.

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:
Required:

Current unrestricted CA Registered Nurse (RN) License issued by the CA Board of Registered Nursing (BRN)
Current unrestricted Nurse Practitioner License issued by California Board of Registered Nursing (BRN)
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider issued by The American Heart Association
Current unrestricted Lanterman-Petris-Short (LPS) Designation issued by Los Angeles County, Department of Mental Health within 90 days of hire/transfer

SKILLS:
This individual should be patient-focused, strong negotiator, detail oriented and flexible. Must be able to work independently and with a team. Able to project a positive self image and be self-motivated. Excellent customer service skills with patients, families, physicians, and staff.
