Wellness Program
This new program is designed to help Huntington Hospital employees identify potential
health risk problems, and assist in the prevention and control of identified risk
issues. At no cost to you, the program includes a web-based Health Risk Assessment,
and an annual screening for blood pressure, cholesterol and glucose. You will receive
confidential instant feedback that contains personalized reports of your health
status and behaviors. An online tool is available to track your progress.
The assessment will be used to tailor proactive follow-up programs, including referrals
to internal programs offered at Huntington Hospital. Healthways and Nurturhealth
have been contracted by Huntington Hospital to provide assistance for wellness and
disease management. They will focus on improving your health, and will provide support
to participants at all risk levels. Telephone Lifestyle Management will be delivered
by degreed/licensed health professionals, including nurses, dieticians, exercise
psychologists, health educators, nutritionists, etc.
Through the application of three primary components: software support (the science),
counseling (the art), and support materials (the reinforcement), you will enjoy
a healthier, more productive career, and the well being that comes with taking good
care of yourself and your family.
Breakfast with the President
“Breakfast with the President” is part of our ongoing plan to encourage employees’
communications and open interactions with our Leadership Team. We host a monthly
breakfast, open to all employees, to develop a meaningful dialogue with Hospital
leadership.
