Under the direction of the Clinical Director, the department manager has 24-hour responsibility for the effective implementation of the philosophy, goals, policies and procedures of the hospital and the nursing unit and their effect on patient care. This position requires flexibility of hours.
Five years of related experience in area or clinical specialty. Leadership experience, preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Required. Diploma or transcripts on highest degree earned required.
Current unrestricted Registered Nurse license issued in California. American Heart Association ACLS and BLS required. MAB (Management of Assaultive Behavior) required within 30 days of hire or transfer. Must be renewed annually. TNCC, preferred. Certification in applicable Professional Nursing Specialty, Preferred.
