Coordinates clinical functions within the Operating Room. Supports and enforces established departmental policies and procedures, standards, objectives, quality improvement, safety, environment of care and infection control guidelines. Performs duties in any nursing capacity as needed. Assists nurses in each room/specialty with challenging issues and coordinates care throughout. Is the on-site supervisor for all go -to- issues by staff, physicians and patients.

Experience/Training:
Minimum two years recent progressive leadership/management experience in an acute care facility Operating Room.

Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or Master’s of Science in Nursing required. Master’s Degree preferred. Diploma or transcripts on highest degree earned required.

Licenses/Certifications:
Current active unrestricted RN license issued by State of California required.
Current American Heart Association BLS provider required.
CNOR preferred.

Is a proactive team player and enjoys working in a collaborative work setting. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Exemplary communication, organization, and problem solving skills. Ability to manage multiple activities and priorities within complex systems. Ability to work with all levels of personnel to achieve positive patient outcomes. Competency to utilize computer systems including Health Information System and Office applications at an intermediate level is expected.
