The Director supports the strategic plan of the Hospital by providing leadership and direction to management and line staff within identified departments. The Director is typically responsible for multiple software applications in use across several Hospital departments. The Director is responsible for ensuring the achievement of performance targets and strategic initiatives by setting and meeting operational goals that are consistent with the mission, vision and values of the organization. This position provides direction and leadership to the Applications and Informatics functions of the IS Department including administrative/quality, clinical/physician and finance/business services. Responsible for co-management of IS Department budgets, both capital and operating while ensuring effective service delivery for assigned areas of responsibility. The position requires extensive practical and theoretical knowledge of technology, business and healthcare operations including aspects of clinical patient care and physician workflow. This is a full time position requiring flexibility of hours and is not eligible for overtime pay.
Minimum of five years experience with information Technology. Five years experience in IS management preferred. Minimum 3 years direct patient care experience.
Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Health Administration, Information Technology or related field required. Masters degree, Preferred. Diploma or transcripts on highest degree earned required.
Service-oriented individual who is focused on customer and enterprise needs. Ability to plan and implement change effectively. Proficiency with HCIS systems and various software applications including administrative, clinical and financial systems.
