This position is responsible for the coordination and management of patient flow operatives to ensure efficient department operation by directing functions and activities, interpreting policies and procedures, standards, and regulations as applicable. Provides direction and oversight to coordinate patient care management utilizing critical thinking and nursing process, discharge planning, resource identification, linking and scheduling patients with required services, monitoring care delivery, advocating for the patient, care planning and evaluating outcomes. Meets all qualifications for the Registered Nurse job description.Graduate from accredited nursing program. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.S.N.) from an accredited college or university nursing program preferred. Two years leadership/supervisory experience, preferred. Minimum two years in a Critical Care/Stepdown/Telemetry Unit, required. Completion of an approved Critical Care Core Curriculum program, preferred. Basic computer skills/experience with computerized documentation systems required. Utilization Management/Discharge Planning experience, preferred. Current active unrestricted RN license issued by State of California. Current American Heart Association BLS Course C. Current ACLS required.
